The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts, announced today that it has scheduled a live webcast entitled: 3D Printing and Intellectual Property: Significant Issues in 2017 LIVE Webcast.
Event Synopsis:
3D printing, which continues to improve in quality and accuracy even as it becomes cheaper, offers a panoply of uses in multiple industries and professions, including legal practice. The wide-scale availability of 3D printing make it ideal for creation of demonstrative evidence in court proceedings, such as miniaturized scale models of buildings or blown up replicas of small anatomical parts or machine components.
At the same time, 3D printing creates a challenge for intellectual property law. Not only are there 3D printing IP rights to be protected, but 3D printing technology also creates the potential for widespread manufacturing of copyrighted, patented and trademarked objects in ways that may infringe pre-existing IP rights.
