Aurora Financial Systems, Inc. (Aurora), a prepaid/debit card processor and Program Manager of network branded cards, is formally introducing a cutting edge technology that allows Cardholders to activate and deactivate their cards via SMS messaging as well as via web and automated 800 service. This unique technology, ToggleGuardTM, provides consumers the flexibility to keep their funds safe at all times.

"It lets consumers protect themselves before fraud takes place rather than reacting to fraud once it occurs. Cardholders can now take control of what charges are authorized on their card and have greater protection against transaction theft that ultimately protects their hard earned cash."
The security features of ToggleGuardTM also send cardholders SMS messages when transactions are attempted when the card is in an 'off' or deactivated state. This allows the cardholder to either approve the transaction in real-time via SMS or identify the attempt as fraudulent. As a result, ToggleGuardTM protects both the issuer and cardholder alike inclusive of the Card Not Present (Web based transactions) environment.
