It may not be a very happy holiday season for 16,000 Bank of America employees, as the bank may accelerate the 30,000 layoffs it had previously said would take a "few years" by cutting 16,000 jobs by the end of the year. With those cuts, Bank of America would no longer be the banking industry's largest employer.
