Bridgestone Global Partners Appoints Legal Expert as Corporate General Counsel |

Bridgestone Global Partners, an independent commodity and brokerage company has recently appointed Mr. Allan Johnston as the firm's newest Corporate General Counsel. |

His appointment will commence on October 2012, before the start of the fourth quarter. Mr. Allan Johnston will provide comprehensive strategic leadership assessment and general legal counsel for the entire company, including its Board of Directors.
"As Bridgestone Global Partners keeps on expanding its global presence in the international marketplaces, Mr. Johnston will play a pivotal role in guiding the firm's networks as he will be providing general assessment of the entire branch offices of the firm worldwide. The final assessment will further enhance the firm's marketability, said Mr. Alexander Neumann, the President and CEO of Bridgestone Global Partners. "Alongside with his brokerage and legal experience in the industry, coupled with his deep understanding of the technology, he will tackle various market structure issues, financial regulations, regulatory compliance assessment which are expected to augment the firm's stability."
Prior to accepting the position from the firm, Mr. Johnston has served as Senior Vice President and Associate Counsel at one of the largest brokerage firms that specialize on energy markets in the US. He led a special legal team that was given full responsibility in restructuring its compliance processes, technology legal matters, trading strategic technology acquisition and intellectual property security.
Mr. Johnston also spent a decade of his profession in one of the internationally recognized banks where he serves as Associate counsel offering his legal expertise on intellectual property and technology. He was also known for providing trade, cash, securities, equities and fund administration services for corporate clients in more than 50 countries through the same international bank.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Central Washington University where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management while he finished his degree in law at Stanford University. |
