CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2011) - Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. ("Brookfield Residential") (TSX:BRP)(NYSE:BRP) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase two million of its own shares from Brookfield Asset Management Inc. ("Brookfield") in order to fund a recently created escrowed restricted stock plan without dilution to shareholders.
