Disabled Veterans Charities Launches New Website to Drive Support for Homeless Vets

Redesigned website aims to increase funding for homeless and other at-risk veterans and their dependents in Southern California.
REDLANDS, Calif. ─ With approximately a quarter of the nation’s homeless veterans located in California, a higher percentage than in any other state, Disabled Veterans Charities recently redesigned its website to increase funding for these and other at-risk veterans and their dependents.

Going beyond the organization’s original thrift store donation options, the new site offers simplified giving selections, making it easier than ever to fund Southern California programs that provide the resources and support veterans need to face the challenges of homelessness and improve their lives. Among the available choices for making a tax-deductible donation to Disabled Veterans Charities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, are:
• Cash donations through PayPay
• AmazonSmile purchases, which result in a .5% donation
• Clothing and household item donations at the organization’s thrift stores
• Car donations

From donations via these channels, Disabled Veterans Charities awards grants to deserving area programs to fulfill its mission: to assist disabled and needy veterans, their widows and dependents, with an emphasis on eliminating homelessness. The programs Disabled Veterans Charities funds include those that provide transitional and permanent housing; mental health services for PTSD, depression and anxiety; employment and career support; and assistance for at-risk, low-income survivors.

“So many veterans in our area are struggling with adjustment issues, economic hardship, physical injuries or mental health challenges that put them at risk of homelessness,” said Jo Anne Rodriguez, General Manager. “Our aim is to provide funding that will give these veterans and their families access to the services they need so no one falls through the
cracks.”

To donate, visit the new website at https://dvcstores.com.
