ATLANTA, GA - Workplace Power Institute CEO, Karla Brandau, is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the TEDx Upper West Side event in New York City. The event will be held at the Steelcase WorkLife Center on 4 Columbus Circle, 7th Floor from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The event is built around Mahatma Gandhi's quote: Be the change that you wish to see in the world. Brandau's topic addresses how discretionary effort leadership and personally giving discretionary energy to worthy causes decreases coming existential risks and takes advantage of extreme opportunities in the 21st Century.
"By giving discretionary effort and unselfishly offering personal discretionary energy you can affect positive change in these complex and challenging times of the 21st century," states Brandau. She continues, "Giving discretionary effort is a personal choice you make every day. It involves giving your unique character gifts to the people you meet on a consistent basis.
