About Doug Wick
Doug leads product and marketing at ALTR. With over 20 years of startup experience, he has broad experience managing product conception and development through to market success. His last role was as CEO of TradeLive, a startup marketplace for IT equipment, with previous executive roles leading product management, sales, and marketing. He is an alumnus of The University of Oklahoma and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Abstract
For as long as we can remember security and privacy have largely been separate functions. However, in today’s data-centric world the lines are beginning to blur as both are concerned about unauthorized access to data. To reduce the risk to data you have to understand who is accessing what data, when. Organizations are no longer only responsible for making sure their data is secure from breaches, but they must also understand who within their organization should even be able to have access to specific sensitive data.
