Enterprising Women Welcomes Two New Members To Advisory Board |

Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine (http://www.enterprisingwomen.com), has appointed Jeanette Prenger and Filomena Merszei to the Enterprising Women Advisory Board.
Prenger serves as president and CEO of ECCO Select, a company dedicated to finding the talent needed to modernize legacy systems and the ability to provide those resources affordably. Recognized as one of the top Kansas City MBE/WBE IT firms and one of the top 500 Hispanic businesses in the U.S., Prenger has thrived through difficult economic and industry climates and now serves a distinguished list of Fortune 500 clients and government agencies.
Since starting her company in 1995, Prenger's drive and business acumen have earned her recognition from local and national business organizations. Her leadership has earned ECCO Select significant accolades nationally including the title of Woman-Owned Business Contractor of the Year by the USDA and Region VII Minority Small Business Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additionally, she was recognized as CEO of the Year by Latinos in Information and Science Technology Association (LISTA).
Prenger's passion for serving the community is exemplified by her commitment to nonprofit organizations throughout Kansas City and across the globe. Nationally, she sits on the board of directors for The Latino Coalition and internationally she passionately supports The Orphaned Starfish Foundation as a member of their board. In the Kansas City metro area, Prenger serves on the boards of The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Zoo, Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation, Starlight Theatre, Park University Board of Trustees, United Way, United Missouri Bank and the Boy Scouts of America, Heartland Council.
Filomena Merszei is managing director of Jeeves Macau in Hong Kong. Originally established 40 years ago in London, Jeeves Macau is an international dry cleaning and valeting service. Merszei maintains a number of distinguished clients in the United Kingdom, including the Royal Family and several major fashion designers. Her involvement in the community is considerable and includes her membership in the Society of Chaine des Rotisseurs and fundraising efforts for the fight against breast cancer. Both women are winners of 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards.
