On Wednesday August 1, 2012, greeNEWit Director of Agents of Change Gabe Bustos will be a judge for the Junior Achievement National Student Leadership Summit at the Cannon House Building in Washington, DC. greeNEWit, recently recognized by the White House for their contributions to entrepreneurship and the nation's economy, was invited by Junior Achievement USAŽ to participate.
They are participating to further support the youth employment initiative nationally. Bustos will be judging the 15 student companies represented at the event trade fair.
"We're excited to have greeNEWit participating in this year's competition because it is important to have different people evaluating the company and youth programs," Jack E. Kosakowski, president and chief executive officer of Junior Achievement USA said. "Thanks to all the judges and sponsors who are helping Junior Achievement empower young people to own their economic success."
Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, and provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.
