About Eric Levy
Eric Levy advises clients in the fast-moving fields of information privacy, data breach and e-commerce. Eric’s counsel on cybersecurity risks includes drafting privacy policies and notices and negotiating contracts allocating data protection and data gathering risks. Eric has extensive experience with sector-specific privacy regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). He also advises clients on issues related to the placement of cyber-insurance.
Eric also assists clients with data breach resolution and prevention. He represents clients during the incident investigation, advises on U.S. and international breach notification requirements and provides support and counsel throughout the breach response period.
Eric has received the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
