Global Water Oil & Gas Summit Announces a new Regulation Panel |

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum The Global Water - Oil & Gas Summit will be held at the Hotel Madinat Jumeirah - Mina A' Salam, Dubai on 22-23 May 2012 and will bring together senior experts in oil and gas engineering, geology, logistics, construction, refining and project management together with senior executives from the water industry. |

The event will provide a platform to discuss the role and demand of water in the oil and gas industry.
The Summit has the official partnership and support of the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water, Dubai Government and Dubai Supreme Council of Energy as well as the support of the Global Water Intelligence, International Private Water Association and the International World Water Council.
The event will include a new regulation panel; this will address global trends in water regulation and help understand the process of its uses or disposal which affects the oil and gas industry.
Colin Hannan, Director of Special Projects - Water, Regulation & Supervision Bureau will be speaking at the panel. He is in charge for regulations and continued supply of water in the UAE, essential for constant supply of oil and gas projects in the field.
Along with him, the ENOC Group Director, Eng Waddah Ghanem Al Hashemi, will be giving a case study on ENOC Group's energy and resource management policy. This will make for an interesting array of views from different companies along with an American case study on regulation by Halla Razak, who belongs to the San Diego County Water Authority, as well as the experiences by the former deputy Minister of Electricity & Water Jamil Alalawi from Bahrain.
Hosted by the Ministry of Environment & Water, the Awards evening will take place on the evening of the first day of the summit. Two Awards will be distributed by the CWC Group, and Shane White, the event's Producers, will collect results and reward the winner. The first Award will be given to the Company of the Year to Recognise Excellence in Water Services for the Oil & Gas Sector and the second one will be given to the Project of the Year to Recognise Enhancement in the Development of Oil & Gas Production through Water Use.
