Golden Star Resources Announces US$15 Million Bought Deal Financing |

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 28, 2016) - Golden Star Resources Ltd. (NYSE MKT:GSS)(TSX:GSC)(GHANA:GSR) ("Golden Star" or the "Company") has announced today that it has entered into an agreement with BMO Capital Markets (the "Underwriter"), under which BMO Capital Markets has agreed to buy on bought deal basis 22,750,000 common shares (the "Common Shares"), at a price of US$0.66 per Common Share for gross proceeds of approximately US$15 million (the "Offering"). The Company has granted the Underwriter an option, exercisable at the offering price for a period of 30 days following the closing of the Offering, to purchase up to an additional 15% of the Common Shares purchased under the Offering to cover over-allotments, if any. |
