Judge Halts Ban on Openly Gay U.S. Troops |

A federal judge in California ordered an immediate stop to worldwide enforcement of the U.S. military's "don't ask don't tell" policy which bans openly gay and lesbian individuals from serving. The Department of Justice has 60 days to appeal.
