National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects John P. McWilliams as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes John P. McWilliams's commitment to excellence in Management Consulting, Management Training, Book Typesetting, and Writing.
John P. McWilliams, Founder, President, and CEO of Bria Ventures LLC and Apache Management Consulting LLC, has been selected as an Honored Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.

Since his retirement in 2007, John P. McWilliams established Bria Ventures LLC in December 2013 as a way to support his writing and marketing efforts. He has successfully written a survey book about New Mexico, entitled 'New Mexico: A Glimpse Into An Enchanted Land', as well as a website where he relates his publications progress and writes a bimonthly blog. In addition, five poems and three associated sketches made by Mr. McWilliams have been published in an anthology, entitled 'More Voices of New Mexico'. This last title is published by Rio Grande Books and it, too, is currently available. This company also provides contractible typesetting services, Adobe InDesign CS6. Conversion to PDF is easily accomplished.

Two years later, in 2015, Mr. McWilliams founded Apache Management Consulting LLC (AMC LLC), providing management consulting services and management training courses to clients. These services include management consulting services and/or short-courses for presentation in customer-provided facilities. The four courses currently available include: Leadership; Run Efficient Meetings, Set Priorities and Time Management; Organizing for Success; and Leadership and Task Management Overview. Development of a fifth "canned" course on "Body Language for Business" is in progress. Mr. McWilliams also writes a biweekly blog on management style topics on the company website.

"I have a wealth of experience in leading project teams towards success," Mr. McWilliams said, with his 38 years of engineering and management experience. "I possess vast experience in leadership, team building, running effective meetings, and in recognizing organizational needs."

Mr. McWilliams first started out in the field in June 1969 as an engineer working on the design of radar receivers. After moving to California he worked for Dalmo Victor Company designing radar warning systems for military aircraft. One year later he took a position with Applied Technology Division of Litton Company, growing with them for nearly nine years. Moving to ArgoSystems Company, Mr. McWilliams was hired as a program manager working on anti-terrorist telecom intercept systems for five years. He then transitioned into a program manager position with Applied Signal Technology, managing approximately one dozen projects of all types of contract types and dollar values, with great success. He was later named department manager for their Multi-Channel Systems Division which produced about 75% of the company's total revenue. Prior to retirement in 2007, he became the Director of MSD Programs while retaining his departmental responsibilities, reviewing and directing over 50 programs monthly, identifying and promulgating program plan and program review package requirements, including cost plans, schedule plans, earned value plans, security plans, staffing and organizational plans, and more. He also presented all program results monthly to the CEO and senior executive staff using a format he created.

With plans to be successful in both of his business ventures, Mr. McWilliams hopes to become an expert in Apache history and culture to succeed as a writer of Southwestern fiction and non-fiction and to become a successful storyteller of Celtic stories. He also plans to become financially independent and in-demand as a management consultant and ultimately be able to present several training courses per week.

Holding a BSE in Engineering from the City University of New York since June 1969 and an MSEE from the University of Santa Clara, Mr. McWilliams is a Qualified member of the Western Writers of America and a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has received numerous quarterly awards and letters of commendation throughout his career, as well as positive book reviews for his written works. Mr. McWilliams also currently has two more books in the works, set to be published in late 2015. One is a collection of fictional Christmas tales and the other is a non-fictional account of six amazing, courageous Apache women.
