Northeastern Fine Jewelry donates $7k Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation |
|
Northeastern Fine Jewelry, with locations in Albany, Schenectady and Manchester Center, VT, is donating a $7,150 luxury watch as part of an auction to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. |
|
The auction will take place as part of JDRF's annual Celestial Ball at the Albany Marriott on Saturday, November 12.
"We are proud to donate this token of discreet luxury to raise much needed funds for the important work of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation," said Ray Bleser, president of Northeastern Fine Jewelry. "One of Jaeger-LeCoultre's finest, the Reverso Grande Taille is an Art Deco icon, as timeless yet contemporary as can be."
The Reverso Grande Taille, by Jaeger-LeCoultre, sports a stainless steel casing and mechanical movement on an alligator leather strap. Its hands are delicately flame-blued, and the silvered guilloché dial presents black transferred numerals and a small, inset seconds' display.
The Celestial Ball's "This Night Will Make a Difference" theme is a message deeply embedded in Northeastern Fine Jewelry's regular community presence. The retailer is well-known for making a difference through its ongoing support of many respected charitable organizations, especially those benefiting children.
As well as supporting JDRF, Northeastern Fine Jewelry will again help fund the annual Ronald McDonald House of Albany Children's Holiday Party in December. Northeastern Fine Jewelry also supports the Times Union Hope Fund serving at-risk children in four counties through sponsorship of the Travers Celebration in conjunction with The New York Racing Association, Inc.
The 15th Annual Celestial Ball will be held at the Albany Marriott on Nov. 12. Guests will enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing followed by both a live and silent auction to benefit JDRF, whose mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of medical research.
