Abstract
Over the years, antitrust scrutiny of technology companies has continuously ramped up. Although technology has unquestionably lived up to its promise of making our days efficient and easier, there has been a lot of setbacks concerning technology companies that led to heightened antitrust scrutiny. One of the cases is the heightened antitrust scrutiny from both Republicans and Democrats targeting large technology companies such as Facebook, Amazon, and Google.
With this, the Justice Department has announced the opening of a new antitrust review that is designed to go beyond the recent plans for scrutinizing the technology sector that was created by the Department and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
