PREMIER Biosoft successfully delivers OligoEvaluator™, a Comprehensive Tool to Calculate Oligonucleotide Properties and Resuspension and Dilution Values to Sigma Life Science. |

PREMIER Biosoft, as a part of its contract software development services, has delivered OligoEvaluator™ to Sigma Life Science. Sigma Life Science is part of Sigma-Aldrich, a leading Life Science and High Technology company whose biochemical, organic chemical products, kits and services are used in scientific research. The Company operates in 35 countries, has nearly 9,000 employees, and serves 1.3 million customers.
OligoEvaluator analyzes secondary structures for any given DNA or RNA sequence and provides information such as melting temperature, GC percentage, length and molecular weight. Degenerate and Inosine nucleosides whose properties are otherwise hard to predict are also supported. Physico-chemical properties are further calculated for a sequence by tagging it to Sigma's rich list of 5', 3' and internal modifications. The tool calculates the volume for resuspending an oligo in water or buffer and stock concentrations needed to achieve a specified volume and concentration through dilutions.
