AJ Byers will join executives from Structure Research, I.C.E. Data Centres, eStruxture Data Centers, Hydro-Québec Distribution and CBRE Limited on the panel, “Battle of the Red-Hot Canadian Markets: Comparing and Contrasting Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.”
Drawing upon his 20 years of experience in the Canadian data center services market, Mr. Byers will speak to the unique advantages that Montreal offers colocation customers. Among these, the lowest overall cost to operate due to the city’s low electricity rates and cool climate which, when combined with innovative, energy-efficient strategies and technologies, reduce data center power usage.
Mr. Byers will also discuss how the city’s proximity to major metro areas such as Toronto and New York provides low latency speeds and easy access, in addition to the increasing presence of webscale companies and major cloud providers that are moving to Montreal and citing reasons such as exceptional customer service, as well as strong privacy and data residency regulations.
