Samuels Diamonds raised $6,200 for the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. On August 14th, the 5th anniversary of the Samuels Diamonds Summer Sizzle Show & Shine car show was held at the Westoaks Woods Baptist Church. The funds will benefit the hospital's Cancer & Blood Disorders Foundation.
Even with 104-degree temperature, thousands of spectators came out to admire the 105 cars and trucks that were registered in categories such as Muscle Cars, Pre-1949 Trucks and Works In Progress. 35 other classic car owners brought their vehicles to join in the fun. The family-friendly event featured kids' activities, raffles, karaoke, live music and plenty of barbecue. Event organizers Lou Menendez (VP of Real Estate) and Dan Ramirez (Loss Prevention Director) handed out awards to the best entries in each category.
But the biggest winner was Dell Children's. "It was great to see so many people, from the volunteers to the spectators contributing to such a worthy cause," said Store Support Supervisor Amanda Davila. Ramirez added, "all of us at Samuels Diamonds want to thank all the sponsors and contributors for their assistance in making this event a tremendous success."
