SGS Publishes Overview of the Impact of Brexit on Cross Border Trade |

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published an article that summarizes Brexit, it’s impact on trade, and possible solutions for creating frictionless trade.
The UK’s surprise vote for Brexit on June 23, 2016, led to a long and convoluted process of withdrawal and negotiation. This ultimately resulted in a trade deal between the UK and EU but its impact on trade has been significant. Since the UK is no longer part of the EU’s single customs union, businesses are finding it difficult to adapt to the new procedures.
SGS’s Consumer Compact article looks at the background to Brexit, it’s impact on trade, and details what SGS is doing to help businesses enjoy frictionless trade between the UK and the EU.
