Shedding Light on Sustainability in the Fox Valley : Earth Month LaucAurora Green Drinks |

An official monthly "Aurora Green Drinks" will begin during Earth Month in the City of Lights along the Fox River. |

The launch of an official monthly "Green Drinks" gathering held on second Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 PM hosted by the Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant in Downtown Aurora on New York Street. The first gathering, a presentation on "Prairie Walk Pond: Resilient Beauty with Native Plants" will be on April 14th to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Earth Month.
Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington, Founder and Executive Director of the Green Buddha Life Sustainability Center and EcoArt Gallery in downtown Aurora sought approval for the formation of an Aurora Green Drinks from the international founder of Green Drinks in London, England because "Aurora is the second largest city in the state with a rich history of commitment to making the Fox River Valley sustainable beginning with the famous Fox in the 20th century continuing to current initiatives in the city from multiple groups."
Across the globe Green Drinks is a monthly networking event for everyone interested in sustainability that includes a spectrum of environmentalists from all walks of life, from novices to professionals. These events provide eco-conscious and diverse communities a casual setting for drinks and green discussions.
Green Drinks Aurora is being supported by the USGBC-Illinois Chapter, Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant, the Green Buddha Life Sustainability Center and the Oberlin College.
