As on today, TSF provided 52800 meals in 140 settlements in Jamshedpur and peripheral areas. In Noamundi, West Bokaro and Jharia, TSF provided meals to 3000 people. TSF has also started providing grocery plus hygiene pack comprising rice, lentils, vegetable oil, masks and hand wash to the vulnerable communities in Kolhan region.

#StitchinTime

TSF is committed to supply about one lakh cloth masks, prioritising frontline health workers and vulnerable communities. Till date, a total of 21000 masks have been distributed. TSF has trained 90 individuals in Jamshedpur, West Bokaro, Noamundi and Kalinagnagar to stitch masks.

#FromtheFarm

TSF began online sale of fresh vegetables in Jamshedpur through Zomato App from April 5. This programme has witnessed good response in Jamshedpur. On an average, 100 orders are received per day amounting to about 1000 kgs sale of fresh vegetables.

#FarRishta

110 Tata Steel employees have volunteered their services so far. A total of 1100 people, both children and old people, have been reached out through this programme. The volunteers, through this programme, engage children or old people through online counselling sessions and lessons on varied subjects.

#StrongerTogether

TSF has engaged with East Singhbhum district administration to set-up a District Civil Society Coordination Cell. It will be a 6-member coordination cell - chaired by DC East Singhbhum and comprising one additional member from District Administration, two from Tata Trusts and two from TSF. The coordination cell will work towards data collection and analysis, identify gaps in the COVID-19 initiatives being executed in the district and develop an actionable plan.
