XEAL Tech Mining Takes Part In Underground Refuge Chamber Test |

XEAL Tech Mining has recently taken part in a manned experiment of a permanent underground chamber that can shelter miners in case of an accident as part of its efforts to reduce mining casualties.
All indicators gathered from the experiment were in line with XEAL Tech's mining emergency rescue requirements.
One hundred people in total from several companies, including managers, engineers, miners, medical staff and the chamber's developers, took part in the 48-hour test at a mine in the city of Shushu in Shanxi Province owned by a different company than XEAL Tech.
Test results showed that the 168-square meter refuge chamber can shelter 100 miners, protecting them from toxic gases and other hazardous factors if they fail to evacuate when an accident happens.
Equipped with machines to produce oxygen and an air-conditioning device, the chamber has protective walls and airtight doors as well as pressure fan, water supply, communication, monitoring and personnel positioning systems.
Last year, the central government ordered all mines to build emergency shelter systems by June 2013.
